Why Human Grade Food?

Human grade, minimally processed ingredients offer a number of health & wellness benefits for dogs. Our meals exclude all artificial additives, preservatives, and fillers typically found in commercial kibble and canned dog food products. Instead, our meals include fresh fruits, vegetables, carbohydrates, proteins, and a proprietary all natural supplement to ensure sufficient dog food nutrient profiles for all life stages. Dogs who experience allergies, dander, obesity, diabetes, cancer or other health related issues may find that human grade food or dog can alleviate the symptoms associated with these afflictions.

Why Variety?

” More ingredient variety = More exposure to different vitamins and nutrients. “

Feeding variety is the key to a healthy digestive system. Imagining yourself eating the same cereals everyday, how healthy could that be? Emerging scientific thinking suggests the more diversity within a diet, the stronger your dog’s microbiome, leading to a healthier and happier dog.

Increasing variety should be a gentle process especially if your dog has not been used to it, so slow and steady introduction is recommended.

Why Frozen?

To keep things fresh! Freezing preserves taste and nutrition without using chemicals. Our food is frozen straight after cooking to ensure it is in tip top condition when defrosted.

What’s wrong with commercial dog food?

The quality of premium kibble and dehydrated raw foods found in pet stores has improved but it is ultimately still highly processed. Fillers have little to no nutrition value, are added to help your dog feel full. We believe that fresh food, served cooked or raw is the best way to avoid unnecessary processing. At Real Pawfect Food, we choose to cook with fresh, whole ingredients.

Why can't I just cook at home?

Of course you can, but you may have difficulty providing your dog with all the nutrients required. Dogs have complex dietary needs and it is critical for their health that they receive the correct balance of minerals and vitamins. In addition, finding all the ingredients and cooking can be very time consuming, it is often hard to find the time to do this properly.

Alternatively, you can go for Pawfect Food Meals – our recipes have been created to give you the peace of mind that your dog is getting the balanced nutrition they need. All you need to do is open & serve, how easy is that?

Why is the food in fine pieces?

You will notice that in Pawfect Food Meals, all ingredients are in grinded fine chunks. This is for a number of very important reasons:
1. You can actually see what your dog is eating and each and every ingredient is identifiable.
2. For optimum ease in digestion, but ensuring 100% of their nutrients are maintained and readily absorbed into the dogs’ system.

Why does the colour of food is different even if I ordered the same recipe?

Our recipes are designed with a rotating variety of vegetables & fruits that changes for every batch is made. Therefore, the colours & texture you see will be different given from the selection of vege & fruits.

This is to ensure that your dog is getting the balanced nutrition they need and still gets excited for meal time even if you feed on the same recipe all the time.

What is the difference between Freshly Cooked Recipe / Raw-some Diet?
Freshly Cooked Food

Our gentle cooking process preserves the vitamins and minerals naturally found in natural ingredients, ensuring the food is not only fresher and more nutrient rich than processed food but also delicious and digestible for dogs of all shapes and sizes. It also removes any microbiological risks that might be associated with uncooked food.

Raw-some Diet

A Raw Dog Food Diet is a carefully balanced blend of raw meat, bone, offal, fruits, vegetables & herbs. Raw meats are not over-processed or cooked which means active nutrients are fully utilized by your dog’s digestive system.

Which is better for my dog? Cooked Food or Raw Diet?

Be it raw or cooked, the best diet for your dog is always fresh – We think that the debate should be focused on the harm commercial kibbles could do instead of comparing the benefits of fresh food regardless of having it cooked or raw. Either way, it’s proven scientifically to be more beneficial than commercial dried or canned food.

To decide on which is better is always depending on your personal preference when it comes to convenience of feeding & most importantly – Whichever Suits Your Dog Best, Health-wise.

Is it safe for my dog to eat raw meat?
Isn’t raw food dangerous because of the potential for bacteria?

Raw pet food uses the same ingredients found in the average grocery store. This means the raw meat you feed your pet should be handled the same way you would handle raw meat for the rest of your family.

You simply need to thoroughly and frequently clean surfaces and wash hands, separate raw meat from other foods, and store food in a properly cooled freezer.

Can I feed raw and cooked food together?
Separate Raw Meats from Other Foods

NO. It’s not a good idea to mix raw food and cooked food / dry kibble in the same meal because cooked food / dry kibble takes longer to digest and can cause digestive distress when mixed with raw. Make sure no raw meat in your fridge is touching other food to prevent cross-contamination.

How should I make the switch?

It is always advised to transition slowly to a new diet from an existing one. Start with a 4:1 proportion of your dog’s existing food to Pawfect Food meal packs and gradually, you can increase it over the course of two to five days until you are feeding a 100% of Pawfect Food. If there are soft stools at the start, go slower and mix Pawfect Food meals with existing food for a longer period of time!

*Our feeding guidelines are calculated based on your dog’s current weight. Please note that this is only a recommendation. Other factors such as metabolism, age and activeness can affect consumption. Increase / decrease feeding gradually to reach the preferred balanced size & weight. It is best to observe and adjust the amount as required.

How do I to serve Freshly Cooked meals?

The frozen meal pack can be left to thaw in the refrigerator the night before. Tear and serve in your dog’s favourite bowl.

Do I have to prepare anything?

No, we’ve done all the hard work for you. Simply defrost, open the pot and spoon into a bowl for your canine buddy. We appreciate everyone has busy lives so we’ve made it as simple as possible for you, and as healthy and delicious as possible for your hound. Convenience without compromise.

How Do I Defrost?

Place the food into the fridge for at least 24 hours before it’s needed. If you forget to do this then place the pot in a bowl of warm water for 5 minutes before serving. Once defrosted the food will remain fresh for 5 days.

When your delivery arrives, we recommend you put 2 days worth of food into the fridge, then each time you use a meal replace it with a frozen one. If the food arrives chilled not fully frozen, don’t worry, it is still safe and can be put back into the freezer.

Sounds good doesn’t it ?
